Frequently asked questions

Clearance made easy – these tips will help you get rid of old furniture, waste and scrap in no time:

  1. Get an overview: Before starting your clear-out, get an overview of items that may be valuable or still usable. Personal items, e.g. document folders or hard drives, should be permanently destroyed. For more information, click here.
  2. Plan your time: Once you have an overview, you can estimate how much time the clear-out will take and whether you can do it alone or need to bring a professional on board. Saubermacher is happy to help.
  3. Sort waste: Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Furniture and similar items constitute bulky waste. For useful information on waste separation, click here.

Bulky waste is waste that is too big to fit in the residual waste bin, e.g. furniture, mattresses, classic bicycles. Bulky waste is subject to what is known as the “notification requirement”; this type of waste must be taken to your local waste collection centre or recycling park. If you have larger quantities of furniture or bulky items to dispose of, we can provide tailor-made solutions. We look forward to your enquiry.

Costs for clearance and clear-out depend on a number of different factors: the size (in square metres) of the apartment or house on the one hand, and the type of waste requiring disposal on the other. Waste separation is an essential component of environmental protection. The costs of two containers for separated waste may be lower than for a mixed container. We will be happy to advise you, send us your request.
